Welcome to Kirk Club!
Sunday Afternoons

Kirk Club (Kirk is a common Presbyterian word, coming from Scottish roots, meaning "Church") is a ministry group for 3rd-5th graders at the church. It meets in the Fellowship House once a month (usually the first Sunday during the year) for an hour after church, 11:15-12:15. Kirk Club will consist of community building and faith formation -- after all, we have to play together before we can pray together. We'll snack, play games, do activities, and have meaningful conversations about faith.
See the schedule below:
-
September 24th: Get-to-Know-Ya’s & Acolyte Training
-
October: No meeting (Small groups, see below)
-
November 5th: Faith & Mental Health
-
December 2nd-3rd: Christmas Lock In!
Christmas Lock In

December 2nd-3rd, 2023
Our fall Kirk Club retreat will be a lock in at the church centered around a deep dive into the Advent season. Come celebrate Christmas early! There will be Christmas games, crafts, sweets, and movies. Kirk Clubbers will also work on Kirk Club Sunday when they will lead worship (which is on January 28th)! If your Kirk Clubber is interested, you can get them registered at this link!
PassportKIDS Montreat 2024

June 30th - July 3rd, 2024
PassportKIDS is a second-year conference ORPC will be attending for children and youth who have completed 3rd through 6th grade but our first time at their Montreat location (this is awesome because our high school youth go back to Montreat every summer for their summer conference, too!). PassportKIDS includes worship geared towards children, interactive Bible study, and LOTS of awesome camp activities. Our church stays in a hotel with a nice dining hall. The theme will be announced soon, but you can start registration here.
Massenetta

July 11th-14th, 2024
Massanetta Middle School Conference is a hands-on, faith filled experience in the Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia. Completed fifth graders from Kirk Club will be eligible to join other middle schoolers from ORPC’s youth group and from across the country gather to participate in keynote, recreation, music, and small “Encounter Groups” led by an outstanding group of high school and adult leaders. The theme this year will be released in September, but you can start registration here.
