Oak Ridge Presbyterian has a vibrant youth ministry that seeks to foster fellowship and discipleship among our young people. We are a community where youth can encounter Christ and grow in their faith, accompanied by a community that accepts them for who they are. Any youth – sixth to twelfth grade – is welcome to join us for weekly youth groups during the school year, overnight retreats during the summer, and special events throughout the summer.
Join us for Youth Group!
Youth group meets weekly in the evenings during the year. Food is an integral part of our ministry, so dinner is served (free of charge) every week at 6pm amongst middle schoolers, high schoolers, and the adult youth advisors to foster community. On the first and third Sundays of the month, middle and high school youth split off separately to study about the spring theme. The theme this year focuses on “Hidden Figures” – people in the Bible often overlooked in traditional church curriculums. Alternatively, on the second and fourth Sundays, youth group is combined as we focus on community building and community service, respectively.

Confirmation
Confirmation is the process by which young people (typically 8th-10th grade) affirm their faith. Because Presbyterians baptize infants, Confirmation is an important milestone in a young person's faith journey. Confirmation is starting soon for ORPC, so if you want your youth to participate, please let Chris know as soon as possible, so he can get you matched with a faith mentor and up to speed on all that will happen this year!
